Darryl Jackson, VP, Hendrick Automotive Group
Currently, working as a Vice President for Hendrick Automotive Group in Charlotte, NC, managing thefinancial services and fixed operations businesses for over 97 Hendrick dealerships and Director of Common Enterprise for The Hendrick Companies. Jackson has been with Hendrick Automotive Company since August, 2015 to present.
Previously, worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Detroit Office as a Director – Advisory, focusing on Financial Services and Capital Markets from January, 2012 until August, 2015.
Previously, worked as the Chief Operating Officer – Chrysler Financial from August 2008 until January, 2012, reporting to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chrysler Financial.
In this position, Jackson was responsible for directing the company’s sales, marketing, remarketing, dealer credit and national account activities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Venezuela.
Jackson joined Chrysler Corporation in 1992 in Corporate Accounting.
Stuart Schuette, President and Chief Executive Officer, American Tire Distributors
Stuart Schuette is President and Chief Executive Officer of American Tire Distributors (ATD), located in Huntersville, North Carolina. Since joining ATD in January 2016, he has led the company’s three-year transformation to becoming the most connected and insightful automotive solutions provider. Through a customer-centric focus, Stuart has enabled ATD to help customers and manufacturer partners prepare for the future through an unrivaled network of sales specialists, a rapid distribution network, industry-leading digital platforms and a variety of advanced analytics tools. Prior to joining ATD, Stuart held a variety of executive sales, finance and operations positions at US Foods.
Jonathan Smoke, Chief Economist, Cox Automotive
Smoke leads Cox Automotive’s economic industry insights team, which tracks the economy, new and used vehicle sales, supply, prices, retail and fleet demand, consumer credit and auto financing, and dealer sentiment to understand the key trends impacting both the wholesale and retail markets for vehicles informed by the proprietary data from all of the company’s businesses and platforms including Manheim,
Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, vAuto, Xtime, and Dealertrack. For more than 28 years, Smoke has focused on translating data and trends into relevant, actionable insights for the industries that represent the biggest purchases that consumers make in their lifetimes: real estate and automotive.
Prior to joining Cox Automotive, Smoke served as Realtor.com’s chief economist. Before that, he was the chief economist for Hanley Wood, a media and market intelligence company, and also served in a variety of roles at Beazer Homes, including senior vice president of strategy and innovation. Smoke is an executive member of the board for the Atlanta Economics Club and is a member of the Conference of Business Economists, Harvard Industrial Economists and the National Association of Business Economists. He speaks at major auto industry conferences such as the NADA and NIADA conventions, Automotive News World Congress, and Used Car Week. His views on the economy and the auto industry are featured regularly in industry and national news outlets such as Automotive News, Auto Remarketing, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Bloomberg, and CNBC.
