In her dual roles of assistant city manager and economic development director, Tracy Dodson guides the City of Charlotte in developing a vibrant new regional economic ecosystem. She utilizes her proven business insights and strategies to champion the city’s economic expansion, workforce development and upward mobility initiatives.

Under Dodson’s guidance, the city continues to successfully leverage strong business relationships on the local, county, regional and state levels. The attraction and retention efforts led by Dodson have resulted in game-changing economic development wins, including Honeywell, a fortune 100 company, moving its headquarters, as well as expansions by LendingTree, AvidXchange and Lowe’s, all bringing thousands of new jobs to Charlotte.

Dodson has more than 20 years of economic development and real estate experience across North and South Carolina. Prior to her work with the City of Charlotte, she was a senior vice president for brokerage and development at Lincoln-Harris, and from 2009 to 2013, she served as director of economic development for Charlotte Center City Partners. Dodson earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and holds a master’s in real estate and urban development from Harvard University.

Brett Gray joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2012 and currently serves as the Managing Principal for Charlotte, Charleston, Columbia, Greenville (SC), Greensboro and Winston-Salem markets. In this role, he provides strategic leadership driving overall performance, growth, operational excellence, client care and engagement, culture and leading the recruitment and development of top talent. He currently serves on Cushman & Wakefield’s Central Region Executive Committee (2020 – current).

Prior to his role as Managing Principal, Brett has served in various leadership roles within the industry including Global Account Management for a Fortune 500 company, leading Project Management as well as the Asset Services businesses. He has been in a leadership role within the industry since 2007.

Craig Lynch is a commercial real estate lawyer in Charlotte, North Carolina. Craig brings more than 33 years of legal experience to his commercial real estate practice. Half a dozen principal types of clients entrust their commercial real estate legal needs to him: automobile dealerships, franchisees and franchisors of national brands, health care providers, organizations expanding their presence across the country, universities, and foreign entities pursuing inbound U.S. real estate opportunities.

Craig takes ownership of and brings a sense of urgency to his clients’ problems, and he builds trusting relationships by developing pragmatic solutions to obstacles standing in the way of achieving their goals and objectives. By taking a proprietary interest in his clients’ matters and prioritizing responsiveness, he successfully enables buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, developers, owners, tenants, and landlords to navigate all of the challenges encountered in real property transactions.

Working from a strategic business perspective, Craig complements his counsel of real estate clients with his commercial litigation experience. In addition, prior to practicing law, he spent two years as a business analyst and zone manager for Ford Motor Co.
